These Terms+Conditions apply to all gardening, horticulture, landscape maintenance, planting, pruning, weed control, mulching, and related services (“Services”) provided by Gardening with Kevan.

 

LABOUR CHARGES (excluding GST)

Hourly rates: $80 per hour (waged/working clients) $75 per hour (pensioners/concession cardholders). A current pensioner or health care card and photo ID must be shown to receive the concession rate. Rates are charged as a straightforward hourly rate. No discounts apply for cash or any other payment method. All bookings are subject to a minimum booking time, as stated in the quote or booking confirmation.

 

WHAT LABOUR CHARGES INCLUDE

Labour charges include time spent providing horticultural services such as: tending garden beds and pot plants, pruning, trimming, weeding, planting and transplanting, irrigation checks and adjustments, recommendations for garden improvements. Labour charges also include the use of Gardening with Kevan’s tools and equipment, including hand tools, pruning tools, cordless trimmers, chainsaw, blower, wheelbarrow, tiller, ladders, and general safety equipment. Disposable safety items (gloves, masks, respirators, etc.) are supplied by Gardening with Kevan. If clients wish to assist with tasks requiring safety equipment, they are expected to supply their own protective gear.

 

CALCULATING LABOUR TIME

I run a digital timer from the time I leave my base in White Rock to travel to your location until work concludes for the day. The timer is paused for phone calls, toilet breaks, and meal breaks. Labour time may include travel time (one-way), time spent onsite, time spent offsite completing job-related tasks. Screenshots of the digital timer are saved daily and can be provided on request.

 

CALLOUT/TRAVEL TIME

Instead of charging a fixed call-out fee, I charge one leg of travel time from my business base in White Rock. This time is included in labour charges.

 

INITIAL SITE VISIT/CONSULTATION FEE

Site visit fees: $80 per hour (standard rate), $75 per hour (pensioner/concession rate). This fee is payable in advance and covers travel (one-way), consultation time onsite, and professional horticultural advice.

QUOTE PREPARATION FEE

Quote preparation fee: $150, payable in advance. This fee is required before quote preparation begins.

 

MATERIALS AND THIRD-PARTY COSTS

Clients are responsible for the cost of materials and third-party services, including mulch, soil, plants, delivery charges, and green waste disposal. Materials and third-party costs are charged at cost and itemised on invoices. Where materials are purchased using my Bunnings Powerpass account, any eligible trade discount is passed on in full where applicable.

 

PAYMENTS & INVOICING

Labour and materials purchased are invoiced at the end of each day’s work, with payment required on receipt before proceeding. Materials are paid for on that day’s invoice, with labour invoiced daily and paid before the next stage of work.

ACCESS & SITE READINESS

Clients must ensure safe and reasonable access to work areas. Delays caused by access issues or safety hazards may be charged as labour time.

 

WEATHER AND SAFETY

Work may be paused or rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions at my discretion.

 

RUBBISH REMOVAL

Gardening with Kevan does not provide a rubbish removal service. Clients are responsible for arranging waste removal via trash packs or skips.

 

AGREEMENT

By proceeding with a booking, the client confirms they have read and agree to these Terms+Conditions.
